Cinquain, Three Parts, Father Missing

Mother
nagged you to tears
chiding you he left her
because his plan was not children,
offal.

You lived
life in search of
your father in others,
eating attention like late plums,
rotten.

Your child
wonders if he
can be enough to feed
a mother missing her father,
always.
